Each wristband will light up green as part of a pregame light show. Saturday’s game is the official “Irish Wear Green” game, with Notre Dame wearing special all-green uniforms for the contest with the Buckeyes.

While Notre Dame has done special light shows for night games in the past, those were through people’s cell phones. This is the first LED wristband show of its kind to come to Notre Dame Stadium.

“We will be able to do a lot of neat things, whether it be chases, light ups, light downs,” Notre Dame Assistant Athletic Director of Fan Experience Don Scott said. “We’ve been working with Ron (Powlus) and Katy (Lonergan) and Alan (Wasielewski) on a lot of different things, whether its touchdowns or big plays. We’ve done this with ‘Irish Wear Green’ a couple of times with lighting up the library and the South Bend River Lights. We’ll definitely do it for the stadium Saturday night.”
